vaccum tree

You know those vaccum trees on the back of your intake with three nipples for your different vaccum lines?

Were do you get those?

Also can you get braided vaccum line for your vaccum advance cannister?
What side is this hose?

Thanks

I'm sure Kragen/AutoZone/PepBoys/Napa will have those vacuum trees (Napa being my first choice) other than them, I KNOW LMC has them.
Also, try summit for the braided vacuum line.

Ya does not matter were you run it from right as long it has constant vaccum right? My carb has no vac in rear full vac hose would have to run to passenger side front of carb.

I made a connection on my intake with a brass fitting that the brake lilne goes to and then I made an "Inline Tee" out of brass fitting coming off of the brake line away from the motor, thatr way I cleaned up the mess on the intake.

the vaccum "tree" im thinking of is way too small to try to run power brakes off of ..

You might be better off getting a galvinized or brass 3/8 tee and then putting the tree on one side and the power brakes on the other.

I think that is what I have now but the power brakes are on one side and the tree on top my problem is this set up is so high it is pressing underneth my air cleaner. When I get a new intake I am not sure it twill fit the way it is now?

If I ran the brake booster off one side and then ran a line to a plastic tee split it one to the tranny and the other to the hearter controls. Would that be enuf vac for the tranny and the heater controls? Mainly concerened about the tranny?

Also a brass tee that would screw into the intake I can get at lowes or something?

Thanks for all your guys help.

You can get vacuum trees and thermal vacuum switches from your GM dealer.
Brakes need full manifold vacuum.

You can probably find a brass fitting that will work at Lowes or home depot. Look in the plumbing section though, you will probably not find the right size in the hardware section.

Ill see if I can get you a picture of what I have going on. I am pretty sure I have the brake vacuum connecting to the back of the carb though (I know you dont have this option). But I do have a 90 vacuum fitting (full manifold vacuum) between the carb and distr., Ill see whats going on and get a picture if possible. The 90 fitting I am talking about it probably too small for a brake vacuum line though.
If you have a port available on your intake manifold I would hook the brake vacuum line up there and alone if possible.

I have one manifold vaccum hole on my intake. It has my brakes on one side and on top a tree with my tranny and my heater. It all seems to work fine it is just very tall tring to clean it up and make it shorter I will take a pick of mine. I have a full manifold on the front of my carb. But dont really want to run another vac hose from front of carb all the way to back.

I can confirm GM parts departments still carry the correct application manifold vacuum fittings, or at least one that will be compatible. I just purchased a fitting, GM P/N 14069089, that has 5 ports: the top three (small to TVS, top to trans modulator, large to A/C / Cruise) as well as two more large nipples on the lower flange. GM List is $6.42 USD.

You might be able to get the exact part for your application; check with your local GM parts department for pricing and availability.
