67-72 with late model seats?

Anyone have late model seats in their 67-72 truck? Im thinking of getting some for mine but wondering how they look and how much wider they are.

I have some 94 buckets in mine now but i used to run some 60 40 buckets and when i go the truck it had a nasty 88 or 89 vinyl seat in it they may be slightly narrower but not enuff to matter.

in my 72 sub,

97 Grey leather tahoe seats, pulled from a wrecked 97 tahoe with 42K miles...

thats also the electronic rearview mirror from the same truck. Its got a digital compass, thermometer, and the mirror is auto dimming.

my old 94 Chevy truck steering wheel...

I also used the tahoe 3 point seat belts...

Check out the August 2004 Classic Trucks Magazine. I know it's not even July yet, I get them really early for some reason. In it they have a whole section on seats and what will bolt right into a 67-72 Chevy truck. If they don't bolt it, they will tell you what the pitfalls of the seats are. I found it to be quite good and they mention that the 96-2000 Suburban and Tahoe seats with the center console fit right in.

What would it take to put one of those rear bench seats like seen above into the front seat of an 80 GMC?

Is it taller than the front buckets? I was thinking about getting one of those rear benches for the fold down abilities, and the flip down center console...

According to what I have read in the article, they will. The article basically states that most of the seats that fit the 67-72 will fit earlier model's too.

Russell, I really like that rear bench seat with the fold down center console too. I think that would look baaaad in the front, I wonder if it's wide enough with the same brackets?

and just a little FYI on that seats, the suburban and tahoe seats are differant. I think the tahoe seat fits better. holes have to be drilled for it to go in. and It sits a bit higher then the stock bench seat. The brackets can be modified to adjust where it sits, but requires cutting and welding.
