proportioning valve troubles

well, i was messing around with stuff and i took the little switch/valve thing out of the side of it and i cant get it back in. what can i do?

Have you removed the electrical switch from the housing? It has a "tit" which will block you from inserting the spool valve.

no, not the electrical switch, the little plug type deal thats facing the frame rail

i believe its the spring and pistioin that i removed. and it wont go back in

Unplug the wire from the brake light switch in the center and remove the switch. This is keeping the valve from going back in all the way.

Now, the next question is why did you take it out anyway?

i just took the brake light switch thing out and the pistion/spring still wont go in.

i removed it cause i wanted to know what it was

I've never been able to get them to go back together. I just dig in for the $90 for a new one, least hope yours is the cheap one and not the $140 one.
