Intake Manifold Crossovers
I had posted a month or so ago about my new engine leaking antifreeze into my oil. It was suggested that the intake gaskets were the culprit. I just got back from a deployment and changed them out yesterday. So far it seems to not be leaking the coolant into the oil. I didnt notice before but the intake manifold has no rear coolant crossovers but the heads do. Its an edelbrock Performer RPM manifold. It looked to have been leaking the coolant at the rear where there were no crossovers. Is this a common thing on aftermarket intakes??

Just make sure you troque the bolts evenly. No small block manifold has the rear crossover-made this way so heads will work on either side.

If you get an aftermarket racing manifold, they will use the rear water ports to help the engine run cooler. They run pipe(and hose) from the raer water ports to the fronts, supposed to cool the engine better under power. Brodix and many other have the rear water ports all ready opened and tapped new.
