Question Woodgrain trim on tailgate?

My woodgrain trim on the 71 is starting to look a little shabby, the clear plastic coating is peeling off, and the wood grain is faded. Can this be replaced easily? Looks like the chrome letters would be a problem, and it has been long enough since I had that piece off, I can't remember if those letters are removable. Anyone have any experience with this?

I did mine. Yes removing the chrome letters was the hardest part. It took a whole night to lift pry and bust those little clips off one by one. Replacing the wood grain was a breeze once the letters were off, the old strip peeled off easily with a heat gun and the LMC wood grain strip fit perfectly and looks great. I was able to get new clips at the hardware store, so reassembly was not a problem.
