Thumbs up Look what followed me home this morning...

1972 GMC K-2500!! It needs a seriouse winch and bumperectomy!! Front and rear!! LOL These bumpers are so large it took more steel to make them than it did the entire truck!!! LOL I will take a couple more pictures when I am done removing the bumpers and cleaning it up. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

That is some serious "extra" metal there. I bet the thing will shed in the neighborhood of 200 lbs after you get those off. Pied Piper...that's funny!

With the high cost of steel, you should make your money back just recycling the bumpers!!!

I like it! Is the winch PTO powered, electric or hydraulic? I agree the bumpers gotta go, after that, it will be an even better truck.

Thanks guys, I almost have the rear bumper off now... Good thing that they were not welded to it.... I got buisy with customers, but I will get the bumpers removed soon. Yukon Jack, It is an 8000LB Warren electric winch. It is the old cable control type but it works great!! I just drug a 2 1/2 ton delivery truck backwards with it in park and ebrake set!! There is some rust in the truck, however I can fix that...LOL WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Yes guitarornothin, they are all mine with exception of 2 of the trucks... But not all of the trucks that I have are pictured either. If you look at my signature it expains itself. Home for wayword Chevys..LOL Well now I have 4 GMCs to add to the mix...LOL I look at it this way.... They could have gone to a wrecking yard... But now they have a second chance at life...

Sorry but my shorty 4x4 isn't for sale. That is what I drive every day... Well most days anyway..LOL The truck with the yellow cab is a nearly rust free A/C truck, and that is the cab going on my shorty. I just put a new exhaust under it also.. Duel 2 1/2", with searies 40 flowmasters and stainless steel tips.... Sounds tough now!! Hehehe!! WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

71GMCStepside, You are more than welcome to come up for a visit.. Do you want to see if you can bring a good rust free 69-72 GMC core support...LOL I have 2 but neither are rust free... Darn batteries anyway!! 68C15, I would like to deliver it to osama personally... If you know what I mean... FRENCHBLUE72, thanks for the compliments... The Blazer does not have side windows. That is a botched bodyman's mistake. I wanted the windows filled, but not the way he did it. I love the panel look, but now I have one so I will turn the top back to the way it was with windows... OK, Here is a couple of shots of my Big Block Blazer, made to look like a panel...LOL It looked great when the job was first done, but like I said the bodyman didn't do as I asked... Yes that is plywood rotting away on the side of it... And yes I am extreemly pissed about it... Just one of many reasons that I have work done at my shop now and I try to do it myself if at all possible.... WES

Ya, I'm up for offers on it I guess... It works great, but could use new control cables. I have used it without the cables and it pulls like a mother!! WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com
