Holy crap looks like the guys at the factory tried writing a story on the firewall. Well the engine is nice :p

I think you could tie with me for rustiest, but you will have to get some fist sized rust holes in the front of the hood and on the top of the front fenders.

What a way to have AC in your ride.

Are you current with your tetinus shots? Good luck!

That would be scary going down the road with no floor below you.

What are your plans for it?

Welcome from Rice.

Seeing all that rust brings back memories of growing up in New England. One of the reasons I moved west. :-)

I've had this truck for about 15 years-finally got sick of trying to start it and pulled the motor about a year ago-sent it to the machine shop--they bored it .040 over-cam is stock--just got it put back together about a month ago----about when I found this site. Did'nt know about rocker boxes until now! yikes. Thanks for all the info--what would you guys do? Would like to do a frame off--but $$$$---just want to drive it! michigank5-I lost some letters along the way(still have em in the console) but the only thing I can think of is VRO T =Very Rusted Out Truck

Is the winsheild frame in good shape at least?

Basically you need to scrap everything from the firewall back and start fresh. You can either find a new Blazer body or you can chop up a 1/2 ton body like I am doing.

Eventually, when you drop a cell phone through the holes, then watch it come out from under your rear wheel, then watch the car behind you get it with both wheels, you'll get sick of the holes and rivet some aluminum flashing in. You know, like they use on roofs. Thats what a guy once told me anyway.
