Swweet ,am working on a 63 short box stepside big back window conversion ,will use the 55 step box (7pce easier to paint) and the 60 cab ( have enlarged back window, just have scale thickness issues to deal with)and the 64 front fender &hood assy. only have the 63 grill to contend with , apparently the original AMT grill is too wide so???? scratch build I guess !! Good to see another modeller on the forum THANX T

How hard is it to customize models? Cause I found a plastic 1961 shortbox that I want to change the hood and lengthen the box.

Long wheelbase of this style of truck are not currently available. 66+81 must have an original issue from 1961 (AMT) , I'm not positive but i think the hood from the 64 will be too narrow. I looked into an original issue 63 grill for mine and found out it's too wide. Customizing isn't that tough ,depending on how extensive you want to get,but like the real thing, make a plan and try to stick to it (ha ha) only your working with plastic and it's smaller. It might be easier to stretch the box on an AMT '60 , some ahead of the wheelwell and some behind T
