Manual
This guy on ebay got a 1980 light duty shop manual. Item number: 7905633537. I don't know about wording, but with the interchangeable parts and all that, would it still work with mine being i have a heavy duty C30? And if not, i could still use to repair problems not related to chassis?
He also has one of the parts and illustration catalogs. I saw someone post earlier saying this really isn't useful? Or is it? |

up to 1-ton is considered light duty. That manual is more of a repair manual.

Right. Light Duty is 10, 20 and 30 series. Snap it up if you can get it at a good price. Get the Parts and Illustration catalogs too. They help a lot when you are trying find parts or numbers. I have every year from 73 all the way through 87 in parts and illustration catalogs.

Mike, What exactly is the illustration catalogs?
Is it full of images showing part locations so you can identify them, or determine the correct location for a part? When you say you have every year from 73-87; is that a different book for each year?

The parts catalogs list part numbers only. It is in catagories and groups. Illustration catalogs show exploded views of everything and and tell you what group to look in for the part number. Really having one without the other is not a lot of help.
Yes, it is different catalogs. Here's the breakdown. 73-78 CK 79-84 CK 85-86 CK & 87-89 RV combined I even have one for 85-91 Van For each group of years, I have a parts catalog and a Illustration catalog.

Copyright Laws maybe.
Sounds like you could go to your local library and photocopy it for yourself |
