Wanting to install power windows with correct door panels in 97 Suburban. Been looking at eBay and its hard to find everything at once. Local junk yard has a Tahoe and wants $400 for all door panels and $400 for p. wind. motors and regulators. Is this a decent price? Would I need anything else besides those parts?
He wants $1000 for front leather buckets and console in very good cond...I think that is a little high.... Was told that the 2nd seat in a Tahoe is different than in a Suburban...possibly because of the release to get to the 3rd seat....any idea? Also, my Burb has power locks.....no keyfob/transmitter. What do I need to install this component and is it easy to find. I imagine its some kind of receiver for under that dash. Thanks for responses. This site is awesome and incredibly useful. |

First off, the rear door panels from a 4-door Tahoe will not fit your suburban. They are shape differently at the bottom.
You are going to need the regulators for each door, harness for each door. Body cross harness that connects to each door and the appropriate swtiches and panels. What color interior parts are you looking for? I might have some of the stuff you need. I will give you a much better price than those.

I am glad you mentioned the rear door thing....I never realized that but after looking more closely I see they very different. The interior of mine is light gray. I appreciate your info. Thanks.

That may be the normal price for your area, but not here. Our yards would go under if they tried that crap. Leather buckets with the console go for $200-$400. Middle and rear leather are like $200 or so each. Power window motors/regulators...the last ones I bought were $40 each and I pulled them myself to be sure I got all the pieces. Once the parts are out, they have no use for the wiring harnesses, so they usually gor for next to nothing if not free. Door panels, I honestly don't know, but going by your other examples, I can only assume they will be cheaper also.
