I am thinking about running a wider tire on the rear of my truck. How would a 275/50/15 look on a stock rally wheel? I am currently running 255/70/15 at all corners. Anyone have any pics with that size tire or near that on stock rallies?

I think a 275/50 /15 would be too short. A 275/60 would work just fine on an 8" ralley.

I would like to see them, I'm tring to deciede what size to go with. I've seen 255/60/15 on a 85, but I'm not sure what size the rims were.

I run 2756015 Dunlop GT Qualifiers on 8" 5 bolt Suburban rallies my 2wd 80 Blazer. It has a 5" drop front/rear. They fit nice. I also put on corvette trim rings. They are flat on the outer edge(not rounded like stock ones) and they are deeper. That way, no outer rim shows, only the slotted centres. I also put 3 bar knock offs on the top of my rally centres for a different look. Really want 18's but this is cheaper!!
Sorry I don't know how to get pics up. If you want to see them I will ask my son to figure out pics.

Me again. My truck has been in the body shop for months. A buddy is doing it as he has time.Pick it up Saturday. Dupont Almond Pearl Metallic!! Looks great (I think)
May not have pics up til next week but will do it asap, wheels and truck. Check back.
You also may want to check out the cool taillights made by me and the gas door trick. I bought new lower side panels without the hole as they were cheaper than a whole side and I came up with a great gas door that anyone on the older trucks can do to take off the round gas cap on a Saturday. Cheap from the wrecking yard!

That is exactly the look I am going for.

What is the width on those rims? How much is your truck lowered front and rear? Are those 3" turndowns under the rollpan? They look sweet.

I know, I ask a lot of questions.

This is a 1986 Chevy 1/2 ton with a 350 small Block, with an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and 625 cfm carb. The motor is a Chevy replacement motor with a Crane cam bumpstick. The transmission is a Jet T-700 with a 12 bolt posi 3:73 rear end. The truck has had a Belltech 3/4 drop and 8 inch Enki rims (old Classic style), the tires are 15" ( a little old style size), but are 295/50s in the back and 245/ 60s in the front. Turning them over is no problem. The truck is painted a lipstick red with new trim and billet phantom grille from Stulle. The tonneu cover is from Extang and the bed is finished with a Rhino Lining. If you look at the rear of the cab the bed light was removed and a third brake light from a 97 nissan pickup mounted for those that don't look at the regular taillights. The interior is finished with new upholstery and billet dash trim. The shifter has been moved to the floor with a B&M shifter. The stereo is an Alpine in dash CD unit and EQ installed in the dash as well. The feed the Rockford amps and the six speakers. The subs are behind the seat in a isobaric setup to enhance sound to a nice mellow rumble. For a daily driver the truck is easy to drive and is quite quick.

For the exhaust I am running 2 1/2 inch pipes with flowmaster mufflers and 5 inch stainless steel oval tips from cone engineering coming out the back for that nice hollow sound. http://www.coneengineering.com/megs/ovals.htm

I finallly got my pics, haven't been able to get my son to do it yet, he is real busy. I don't know how to get em up.

I am running Dunlop 2556015 on front and 2756015 on back with 8" suburban 5 bolt rallies.

If someone can help me let me know or I can email them to someone who knows how to get them up.
