How many feet of hose from Fuel Cell to Fuel Pump?
Would 10' be enough to go from the fuel cell (mounted like Jeff's and Greg's) to the stock fuel pump on the side of the block? Or would I need to get the 15' hose?

When you determine how much you need, always get some extra...in case you screw up putting the fittings on, for special routing, and maybe to even create your own fuel line for the carb.

I would feel safer plumbing it with tubing or steel braided line. If you think it is 10 feet buy enough to go 15 feet.

I would sugest running a stainless line on the frame and only using the hose on the tank and engine side. The hose isn't exactly cheap and the stainless line would be more durable. All you need is a proper (not the cheap ass chinese stuff) 37 degree flare tool, some tube nuts & sleeves anda tubing bender.

what size line are you thinking of?
Tell me about how expensive the hose is, in my vette I have -20 AN lines on the radiator, -10 main fuel feed from tank to regulators, then 2 -8 from regulators to fuel log, and then 2 -6 t-ed into one -8 return, then I have 4 -12 lines on the dry sump pan, then another 4 from the filters to the pump, a -16 back to the tank and also a -16 to -12 feed for the pump. Last but not lest 2 -10 vent lines on both rocker covers running into a 12 vent main to the tank. That's not even counting all the lines on the diff, the tranny and the power steering/hydrobooster/cooler setup. I think I've spent certainly over 500$ in hose and fittings |

Yeah, it's expensive. Don't forget about the AN fittings. They like them too.

Tim, you do not need 8AN lines...that is 1/2"...waaaay more than you need. I am running 6AN, which is 3/8". You will however need 8AN to 6AN adapters for the cell and possibly pump and filter (depending on what you are using).

Jeff is right. -08 is way more than you need. -06 is the ticket.
Did you know that AN fittings and hose is based on the 1/16 system. -08 is 8/16ths or 1/2. -06 is 6/16ths or 3/8. Also AN stands for Army/Navy. Just a little bit of useless info.

Run -6AN for everything, just get the appropriate adapters for the components you are using.
