Anyone using the antennae in the windshield?
How is it? I listened to a friend of mine's stereo in his 78, and he had the antennae in the windshield setup, and it got perfect reception...So, when I get some money, I'm gonna get a new windhsield, and fix the antennae.

I have the factory am/fm hooked to mine and it works as good as any 27 year old radio works. The reception is just fine most of the time....

I still use mine. Works good. Of course I never listen to the radio anyway. A MP3 player has a way of killing radio, you know?

Nice! I think what happened to mine, is it broke right at the base, that's why it never worked...does the new winshield come with a wire that I just plug into the radio, or....?

My old Sony deck it was only ok - my new Pioneer it works great. Like Mike said, my new MP3 deck kinda makes the radio obsolete.

I put a antenna amplifier on mine and I can pull in stations I cannot get on any of my other cars. Highly recommend keeping it. The hew windshield will come with the stud which the wire bolts to.

Mine has always worked rather well, it's just our weak, crappy radio stations here. Once I get close enough to Lubbock, Texas to get thier stations, it comes through as clear as a bell.

Mine in my 85 is hooked to a pioneer cd player and before that was on a knob job pioneer tape deck both had really good reception But ive seen others that wasnt worth a flip
I bet them connections get loose or corroded over the years on certain trucks. |
