Will These Wheels Fit?

Have a chance at a set of custom wheels from a Ford truck. Besides the fact they are from a Ford, Does anyone know the bolt pattern for these (ie. 5 x 5)? I am interested in putting these on my '72 2 wheel drive.
Thanks
Don

5 bolt wheels for chey trucks are 5x5, I think F@rd are 5x4.5, but I know the 5 bolts don't interchange. Most 6 bolts wheels will, but seems alll the 5 bolts have different bolt spreads.

Waaaaaaait a minit!

Would you believe that some Ford trucks used the old standard 5 on 5.5 inch, while others used the passenger car patterns, 5 on 4.5 inch?

I had an '83 F-100 (last year for them). I had to replace the brake calipers. My NAPA store sold me a set that literally fell out of the mount. It was obvious that they were not correct. I had already taken the cores in, but went back and a comparo showed them to be different. Later, I took my VIN to the local dealership and they rattled off a buncha stuff that shoulda been standard on my truck. However, my F-100 had F-150 suspension stuff, yet only had a 4600GVW. It should have had the small brakes and the passenger car wheel bolt pattern. So, make sure you know what you have.

But, to answer your question, like has already been done, GM uses different patterns than FoMoCo. It is possible that the 8-lug wheels will interchange, but I don't know that to be fact.

If they are from a Ford truck they should be 5 on 5 1/2" bolt circle. They will not fit the Chevy though.
8 lug patterns are the same for Chevy, Ford and Dodge........and aftermarket wheels will all fit any of them, BUT the factory wheels will not. The center holes are different sizes. The aftermarket wheels have a larger (universal) hole.

The late model Ford 8 lug pattern is different than GM and Dodge now also, so they will not interchange. A buddy of mine purchased some used 8 lug eagle wheels and was told that they would fit all 8 lug trucks. Turns out they were on a late model Ford which has a larger diameter bolt pattern. Not only did they not fit, but they werent even close..... So beware what used wheels you buy. This set back my buddy $700.00 and must now try to sell tho wheels and tires.
