It's about time

Here I go. I have had this truck since March and finally am getting started. Got new bumpers Sunday and ordered the wood bed today.
Just had to put the bumpers on to see how they look.
The plan will be to remove them of course and all the trim and emblems , fill a few holes ( mig weld) and sand the body, remove the old bed and get the truck to the painter.
It will be blue again but with a white cab top . I won't be redoing the interior paint. Seat upholstery and door panels will come after paint as well as air condioning system.Haven't figured out the interior color for seat door panels and dash pad but sure won't be blue. I don't like the shades of blue in there now , too different for me.
In the mean time here are some pics.
The old bumpers and mirrors are available for free, to who ever wants to pick them up.
Thanks for board members help on my previous is guestions.
Chris

Heck I have had my truck over a year and haven't started on it yet. Good luck, sounds like fun.

Hey, it's ALWAYS about time!!! Too early, too late, not enough of it, pressed for it....

I wish I had a '67-68 front cap...but I don't have time to do what I have to do right now, and I'm retired! When did I have time to raise 5 kids and hold down a job, too? And, that doesn't say anything about my wife....you gotta take time for them, too.

Yeah, 8door....you're right. Let's see.....I got a daughter in central Florida; another daughter in Rhode Island, each with their offsprings and spouses. I have a son in northern California and another son and daughter in central Arkansas that I can't seem to run off. Then, I have my 80-year old dad who is serioiusly into his 2nd childhood, especially since my mother died last fall. I drive a school bus and also run trips (athletics and field trips), and I have a cash deficit that is making my 401k look enticing. But, I gotta lotta parts and stuff to work with and some time on my hands, but today I have my 7-yr old grandson and a job to do for my dad, 30 miles away.

Yep, it's about time, alright. Use it while you got it. Don't waste it. You can't get it back.
