Aftermarket tailgate questions...
How good are the aftermarket tailgates??? I want to purchase a OEM tailgate but am having a hard time finding one in good shape. I really dont want to but I'm considering buying a aftermarket tailgate. How do these hold up?? Are they as strong as the OEM tailgates??? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

I have one and it is complete junk. The metal is way too thin.

the aftermarket I had on my GMC sucked balls, you couldn't sit on it without it bending. Work find for a truck that doesn't need to put stuff on it, but no good for loading heavy stuff.

Where are you located ? If you are near Bryan, Tx. I may have one for sale .It is a 1983 GMC fleetside gate in perfect condition. It has a real nice trim panel also. I would be willing to meet you to save a little driving.
