How's this for a kid's room?

This is my 10 year old son's room. My wife and I spent a week giving it a makeover. I have 2 sons and a daughter. This son is my future motorhead. My other son doesn't really care about cars Yes, that is the hood off of my '69 Camaro. I thought it added a nice touch. Oh and by the way he's been gone for 2 weeks and doesn't know we did this.

Sweet Job! Sure wouldn't have mind living in a room like that when I was young!

Only one modification I can see, but it's just me...I think the bed would look cool on stacked wheels for legs (maybe polished aluminum). I would suggest stacked tires, but you'd never get the rubber smell out of the room....

Actually, I am working on a night stand made from 3 rally wheels. The bottom one will lay flat, the second will stand up and have the hub cap and trim ring, and the third will be flat on top with a piece of plexiglass in the center.

I'm taking for granted that by the hood you are a Camaro guy??? What if you scavenged a camaro dash out of a yard and refinished it complete with working stereo and everything and mounted it to the wall or something. I just think that would be cool.........Jerry

I'm a CHEVY guy. I like the idea of the dash. We only had a week and a limited budget. Maybe I can put one in my room.....The Home Depot hood was a gift.... My son likes El Caminos and my Mom is having a sign made with an El Camino on it with the words "Jake's Place" along the length of the car.

Great job...even down to the wall plate for the switch...

Recently saw a garage that had Hot Wheels for cabinet knobs.
