Engine #s ?
Can anyone tell me what the engine #"s on a 68-69 chevy 6cly mean? mine are> left to right> block> con2 025 9 3921968 left to right>head> 4886 (below that is)2706 then going on to the right 2708 29f (over) 2710 Thanks Sky Walker

You might also try:
www.inliners.org There are also stamped numbers on a machined pad just aft of the distributor hole on the passenger side. One of mine goes: FO 626 UH . That's on a '67 292. The numbers with the "Con2" etc are garbled. Conveyer 2 means what production line in the factory the block was made on. All the L6 blocks I've seen are from Con 2. The numbers just after it are month [single letter codes A=January, L=December] day [double digits - 02 or 25 ?] and year [single digit - 9= 1969] Hope that helped.

thanks luv2xclr8 & orangesunshine, i checked those sites and the Inliners.org gave me ( 3921968 = chevy/olds 64-76 230-250 cid ). the added info that 68orangesunshine had was also very helpful, Thanks again to both.....skywalker...out
