Replacement Build Sheets

Anybody know where to buy blank build sheets? My 70 GMC build sheet is pretty faided and rough looking. Are they all the same, or different for each year or make? Thanks.

If I am not mistaken i believe that Ricks Pickup Parts (a board vendor) sells blank glove box option sheets.
There is also someone that had an excel spread sheet with the close to correct font.
As far as i know they were the same for all years.
The options and vins were done differently though.
Build sheets are what the assembly line used to put these trucks together.
They can sometimes be found in the seat springs or behind the gas tank.

Faded and rough looking is the way folkes like them.
I would save that Glove Box door and get another one for the new sheet.
Just in case.

Here is the link to the FAQ:

The build sheet is the one I want to replace (put up the original). The glove box sticker is in good shape. Greg

WB72,
If you can reproduce one I would be interested in one as well. When I did my '71 I made a replacement of the original driver's door sticker . It is pretty clse except for the box around the GM stamp in the right corner. I'll try to post some pictures later of it.

1970blazin,
I'll try to get my father in laws dig. camera and email you some pics. The cool thing is the paper was available from a copier place. Blue adhesive backed paper and a clear laminant cover and it looks original. Try to get pics by this week-end.

I'd be interested in a blank build sheet, too. Mine was in the seat springs and it just fell apart when tried to get it out. Guess I should have left it alone...........

I have a good scan of mine finally, but it's to big for the board. If I can scale it down some and it's still readable, I will post it ASAP.

Actually we're not talking about "window stickers" or "glove box stickers", we are trying to find blank "build sheets". They were used by GM during the assembly process, and were hidden somewhere in the truck when it rolled out the end. They are found under the carpet, under the seat springs, in the door panel.....where ever they stashed it. If we can get a nice copy, then make a blank one, then put your options on it, and hit print. Greg

My mistake in haste, I said window stickers, meant build sheet. Sorry.

I can also reproduce one on excel. It would only take a couple of hours to get it almost exact.

I think the problem is, those who want, do not have a sample.
