Leaf Spring Frame
Hello Guys,
Will someone post some pictures of a leaf spring frame close to the rear where the shocks are mounted to the frame. I just purchased a 2wd 70 cst swb with leaf springs. The prior owner replaced the original rear end with one from another year. One shock is mounted facing the cap and the other away from the cab. I would like to make sure I am dealing with an original frame before this project gets started. Could someone also explain to me the differences between a leaf and coil spring frame if there are any. Is it possible this could be a later model frame. Last edited by sure_green; 07-03-2004 at 04:52 PM. |

The 73 up frames had the staggered shocks as you described. So unless someone modified the frame, (the frame you are describing), it is not a 67-72.

The Frame is not modified the original shock mount is still in place. The prior owner just fixed up a way to mount driver's side shock to the frame.
