[Update] 3way C10 Race...
Well, I finally got a chance to race ONE of my friends last night. It wasn't from a dig though. We couldn't catch a light! So, because we both knew that we'd be spinning like crazy from a dig, we decided to go from a 30mph punch. I'd call it a draw to 90. So, that's one down, 1 to go!
I for SURE thought I would immediately pull away from him..guess I was wrong. Ohh well, nothing wrong with a draw! His specs are: 78 C10, same weight as mine, all same mods as mine, except he has stock exhaust with a cut-out before the cat, and 2.73 gears out back. Guess those 2.73's really help from a roll...Of course, his C10 IS his race car(truck)...mine isn't PstGuy, It's the Silver/Black C10 with Torque Thrusts and cowl hood, that hangs out with us. |

12.5:1 for a daily driver in CA with gas prices the way they are. Damn that dude must be loaded. Can you even run pump gas with 12.5:1?

you would be correct, only 17, its my first ride, dad helped me build that engine, transmission, and rear end. i put 500 on the rear end. the money for that engine and such was going into my dads '70 chevelle, but dad wouldn't let me drive it for about 6 months untill then i was driving a 85 buick le sabre. so you would be correct in your guess jeremy, what gave it away?

were working on traction, going to get some custom front springs made so the truck will acutally have some weight transfer, only suspension mods are the 2 inch lowering in front due to the big block and no front shocks. and i have discoverd traction, from a roll and not a stomp

Your truck has app. 470hp and that 700R4 is somehow managing to stay alive behind it? Not trying to be a smartass, just wondering where on earth you got that tranny built at, so I can look into getting one. we built the 700R4 for my truck. if u can get an 88-92 camero/firebird 700R4/4L60 that hasn't been rebuilt yet, we will build you one, just not shure on the cost. and on another note, does anyone know who to put quotes up in responses?

click the quote button, rather than using the quick reply. the quote button is located in the right lower corner of the post you wish to quote.
easing into the throttle from a roll isnt traction. just wait til you get that thing to hook! what kind of gears are you running? |
