What Do You Think?
I JUST FINISHED MY LUG CONVERSION TO RUN MY NEW SS WHEELS. THE FRONT HAS 2500 SERIES BRAKES AND THE REAR IS A 99+ WITH 3.73 AND DISC BRAKES. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK.
ALSO, WHAT YOU THINK I SHOULD DO NEXT! http://f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/dumpedv8/my_photos

Very nice! It is amazing what set of rims and tires can do for a truck, isn't it?
As far as what to do next, I think a rollpan would look good with straight pipes out the back.

well, i cost me about $1500. i got the wheels for free. a buddy of my dad put aftermarket 22's on his ss and didnt want the wheels. i wanted to buy them for him but he wouldnt let me.
the rear is about $1000 at junkyards but i got mine for $400 at a camaro wrecking yard. the guy was sick of looking at it! then, brake rotors and pads. the only thing i had to do was relocate the leaf springs mounting pads on the rear. they are just a little bit to wide. it was only cutting them off and re-welding them on. the whole rear end is about an inch longer than stock. then the front all i needed was 2500 series brake rotors. the calipers are the same. i went ahead and changed all bearings and seals, calipers, pads, axle nut, dust cap...ect. i can get acdelco parts at cost. the front was really easy and the rear was a little bit harder. but in the end it was all worth it, it stops on a dime, and holds the road like a sob! oh, yea plus about $500 for tires (damn 20" tires) |

That truck looks sharp for sure. So what's next on the list for modification on it?

i still have a little more bodywork to do on the tailgate and i need to pull all dents to get it ready for paint. im thinking a welded in roll pan with the exhaust run all the way to the back out of polished 3.5" tips. and probobly a 2/4 or maybe a 3/4 drop. still working on the drop part. im also building a costom box to hold 2 12's under the rear seat. and then maybe new leather from katzkin.
any imput would be helpful from everyone!
