I don't think the pic is big enough. Can you re-size it?

I don't understand the purpose other than to impress, I know why they use twin turbos, but why two super chargers? Its not like you would need one small one and then another big one to reduce turbo lag as there is no lag with a blower, why not just run one really big one?

And did anyone notice that the mustang is right hand drive?

bad taste? hardly. if it were one blower, i could understand, but with 2 there's no way its anywhere near drivable. and its too pretty for a race car. IMO, any vehicle that cant be driven, or used in some way, is worthless. reminds me of an 90s Olds Cutlass Supreme i saw at a show in '98. beautifully done, not a spot on it anywhere. tube framed, twin turbo, single blower BBC, backed by a Lenco. asked the guy what kind of power it made... 0 hp, 0ft/lb... it didnt have rods or pistons in it. whats the point in having it then?

Looks good, although I highly doubt those are used double blowers. I've seen a setup before where they made a split manifold that mounted two 6-71's, but I've never seen them stacked. As to whether its drivable, I wouldn't doubt it. Don't see how 2 blowers makes it non-drivable. And its deffenatley not worthless, makes a great show car [AKA: art piece]

A guy here in town has a hot rod shop and built a 56? chevy with twin blowers.. one of the first to do it.. side by side, not on top of each other, he made his own intake n crap, pretty wild.. he had it in a few magazines, then sold it.. wishes he woulda kept it now.. if i can find a pic of it, i'll post it..

i never said it was beautiful, which would indicate that i liked it. i said it was too pretty, meaning it obviously isnt used.

as for the drivability of the car it can be hard at times to keep a blown car from detonation. lets just say that each blower produces 6psi of boost. one blower takes in the air, and compresses it to 6psi. then the second blower takes the air, and compresses it further. it should become 36psi, not 12psi like one would think. if keeping a single blown car is hard to keep from detonating at 10-15psi, this thing has got to be a nightmare. not to mention that the large shiny obstruction that you guys are calling a pair of blowers, is illegal for any road use. its a show piece allright, with an extra emphasis on PIECE.

for a stacked supercharger setup, they must be geared verrry differently to work correctly.. You cant just stack em up to the moon and keep making more boost

Twin turbos would have been soooo much cooler.

Red face

Well it looks to me like it's powered by a BIG BLOCK CHEVY there for it's ok to post it here but it really should have a long bed grafted onto it cuz this is a truck forum.
