antenna cable too short?

I put my new cd player into the 79 today. Only problem is the new players antenna port is on the apposite side of the old one, and the antenna cable dosen't reach by about 1" Are there longer ones avalible, or do I need to cut the wire and add some length?

Radio Shack used to sell "extensions" for antennas. Or you could check with "Best Buy" or any Stereo installation shops.
