Clutch pedal not returning
I recently replaced a clutch in my 1978 Chevy K-10 after doing so the clutch pedal would not return all the way, unless you physically reach down and pull it out with your hand. After some inspection I relized that the return spring that connects to the release fork was missing. I purchased another one, and attached it where it seemed to belong, but it still doesn't return all the way. I am stumped at this point and know that I can't use it for if I do i risk destroying the throw out bearing and then the clutch. So I would appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance Riley |

There should be about 1-1.5" of leeway for the pedal to move from the rested position to the extreme out position. If it is more than that, check the spring under the dash attached to the clutch pedal. Have you adjusted the clutch using the gage hole before all of this?

The spring under the dash is in working order and doesn't seem to be causing the problem I will make my way back under to see if there is a better place to mount that return spring on the frame.
