You know if anyone thing good about this whole thing and I'm sure that everyone else there would agree.... The guy was so happy all weekend I never once seen him that he didnt have a smile on his face. I think he was having the time of his life if there is such a thing.

Please, don't get mad at me, i'm a youth pastor and I don't quite see this as a SAD ending. Sounds to me like the man first just got through with a GREAT weekend, was on his way to Vacation and not at work and passed on in his sleep - no suffering. He is with Jesus now that alone is a Great Begining to me. I hope to go out like that.

My condolences the Him and His. Me and Mine will be praying for the family. Praise God.

I think that it is always sad for us when we lose someone that we like. Sorry to hear about the loss.

I don't think anyone will get mad at you. It's just hard to lose someone this way, almost as if we are selfish and are sad that he is gone from us. But yes he is with Jesus now and is starting a new begining.

You can't be mad at someone who sees death in such a positive light. That's a good perspective.

Usually anger towards that kind of perspective is just reactionary. His family will be grieving for a while, and will need time to sort their feelings out. Grieving is complicated. Everyone does it differently. Death is hard to understand for a lot of people. Hearing others talk about it so positively sometimes may seem disrespectful and flippant to those who have never experienced it.

When my sister died it was devastating, but it couldn't have been a better blessing in the long run. She got a chance to have a heart-to-heart with dad before she passed (he was closest to her), and she knew she was loved. In other words she was ready. There's definitely something to be said about going peacefully. Sounds like he did.

sad to hear but at least he went peacefully and relaxed in his sleep and didnt suffer. dying is part of life its going to happen and at least he had just had a great weekend and most of all he was enjoying himself in a positive way. i dont mean to get flamed for what i said but thats just how i see it. its sad when anyone passes so young and it also brings things into perspective im only 20 and todd was younger than my father. but my thoughts go out to his family it is sad news
