motor mounts cracking
the motor mounts were replaces last august when i put in the new motor and it has about 11,000 miles on it now and the mounts are starting to split in the middle why are they doing this? should i be using polyurethane mounts instead of rubber mounts?

any pics of mounts where they are cracking? sounds like a loose nut behind wheel. JK I used to have the same problem with a '80 K20 with Moroso solid mounts & over 500 # torque. I eased off the hot-rodding. what actually was happening is the frame was flexing too much under acceleration & the block wouldnt. something had to give. if that is your situation you migh try some poly mounts.

they are cracking in the middle where they bolt to the stands. i'm going to replace them with poly mounts when i pull the motor to paint and maybe i'll try to keep my right foot off the floor
