Slopped chop top

Seen this in front of a body shop on the way back from the Athens show.
From the roof and hood pic's with the rust marks on the paint I would say that this is a older job. I have not seen it in front of the shop before, so it may have been inside and the brought it out or may have been dropped off for work to be done?
Hood appeared to be a custom made scoop from a actual hood. Body was channeled. Can't tell a lot from the pic's, but you can see part of the trans tunnel on the inter pic and the frame top is mid way of the tailgate.

That work was done a LONGGGG time ago. Someone either spent a lot of money on what was done or a lot of work. Wonder if it's something that the shop was doing for a customer and the customer ran out of money...

I wouldn't mind that 'slanted' cab in front of a tubbed-n-stuffed bed, powered by some sick BIG block. I think it (at one time) had potential. (**excluding those ground effects**)

I think you mean "sloped"? Bit of a Freudian slip there?

Maybe an early Pardue's Customs prototype for XXL's cab?

Same guy must have worked on the beauty too

I can appreciate the time and effort people put into their projects, but I just dont like the chopped top look on our year of trucks. For me it throws the dimentions all out of wack and looks too squatty? But hey what do I know? I'm gonna repaint mine the original Med. Olive Green which some would consider a major fopaw.

And with that mind set, people will be appreciating your efforts for years to come, rather than having it end up as a poster-child for project "purgatory". No faux pas IMO.

Both are in the same state, and from paint / flaking bondo on the roof, this truck been around a while. Could be, or may be this owner just knew when to quit.
CPNE / Smitty,
More of a key board / finger slip. But both words could work for this truck.

From the looks of the black paint on the truck I think It might have been completed, then the owner wanted more or some one else started adding to the truck.
I know I seen a few on here asking about making a cowl hood from one or more stock hoods. Thats what this apears to have been done so I took a few pic's. I think they were wanting to match the hood to the roof line, but should have never went that tall. Also I don't think I have seen a top on one of these trucks chopped at a angle, so it does make it different. Med. Olive Green, Kind of grows on you after you drive one a while.
