I don't think it would look bad in the bed of the truck but, if you mounted it on a bedside it would look bad. Just my .02

I agree. Mounted on the bed floor, I think it would look right at home, but not on the bedside (outside). If you have to put it on the outer bedside, I'd go with something that could be painted to match and almost be unseen until needed. Just my pair of pennies, though!

I like the first one better. I think it would look good either way.(in or out of the bed)

Anybody ever think of putting item #2 on the outside of a step-fender? We '67 owners don't have side marker lights to hide behind!

What about the litle key that's with it. Granted, you could probably open it with a big screwdriver. Not sure how the other operates. Remote opener? If someone wants anything off your truck bad enough, they'll get it even if they have to steal the truck to get it.

The one with the key is a pain in the a$$. I had one on my boat. The key is bulky on your key ring. If you keep in the truck, you got to make sure it doesnt get lost and it is sometimes very hard to loosen the cap. The tank builds a little pressure from heat and it takes a lot of force on that little akward key to open the cap, and I am not no small fry @ 240 lbs.

Try Hagan. They make some awesome fuel filler doors. They are located about 1/2 mile from me. Great products and really nice people. I'll see if I can find a link.

I went with the teardrop flat. It will be mounted in the bed floor. I am real happy with the quality.
