Question HELP. reproduction fenders????

I have searched for months trying to locate an original clean rust free 68 passenger fender. Well I have not found one, or found anyone who was willing to ship it to me. So my last opition is to buy a reproduction fender. I would like to hear anyone's story on their experiences with the rerpo fenders. One of my questions is if I have to use one repro fender, should I replace the original with a repro aswell?

Thanks, Julius

Repop fenders

Originals fit better (not perfect but a lot better) then the repop's. One weak area on the repops is right on the front top where they make the bend-- on the inner edge that aligns with the hood---tends to be a weak point. Before I would you spend $125. + tax for a repop, I would take John up on his original as his stuff is better then any repop. I've used both and my preference is always original stuff if the price and condition is close. Be sure to prep and protect the inner ----lower pockets and upper seam where the inner/outer meet. I like Eastwoods rust protector over POR15 as it is safer, easier, and from independent reports, works better against rust. Huck
