Any advice concerning suspension swap?

I have a 68 GMC 3/4t LWB that rides like a tank! I recently picked up a 70 1/2t LWB frame that has a slightly bent frame in the front. My plan is to swap the front springs then remove the crossmembers and other attachments including the coil spring/trailing arm setup and install onto my frame. My plan is to use all new grade 8 hardware to replace the rivets.

Any tips for this type of swap? Has anyone else gone thru this swap?

Probably going to have to use the ½ton rear also unless you get a longer aftermarket panhard bar (the attachment is to a stud on top of the rear) and weld on new trailing arm mounts. On the grade 8 hardware for suspension parts make sure the bolts fit tight in any of the holes (i.e. no chance for movement). You will probably have a few issues with brake lines and parking brake cable but if you have both trucks it shouldn't be a problem for parts. Depending which drive shaft you use you might need a hybrid U-joint and or a different carrier bearing. I would put new trailing arm bushings in while you have it apart (much easier). Somone will probably think of things I missed.
Good Luck
