How much do you drive your truck[s]?
As I was changing the oil in my 86 diesel today, I realized I have driven it 12k miles since February (Yes, I've changed the oil several times since then...) I've also driven my 84 a few thousand miles in that time.
Last year I drove my trucks about a combined 30k miles, mostly in the 87 diesel I recently sold. How far do you all drive your trucks in a year?

Well, when the vette was in the shop, I drove the truck quite a bit. But since the vette's been out of the shop, and I've been unemployed, I haven't driven the truck too much because of the gas prices.

welp, odo shows about 36-37k right now, showed 28k when I bought it almost exactly one year ago, this next year of ownership will be much less since I have a 2000 New Beetle for daily driver status now.

When i had Yeller together a few years back, I drove it about 5-6K a year. It has always been my secondary or fair weather cruiser...always will be too.

I'm going to assume that you want to see the beetle? I'd like to put a wings west body kit on it that doesn't look ricey, tint the windows darker, about 1.5" drop kit, and of course some go fast goodies like uPsolute ECM chip which will bump me up to about 183HP and 200 lb ft of torque. I could only squeeze 8.53 0-60 out of it, I believe it needs some new vacuum lines and a diverter valve and a race N75 valve, should perk her up. I have seen reviews where their Turbo beetle (150hp) did 0-60 in about 7.6 seconds. Apparently the rubber vacuum lines get old and dry out and cause a loss of power and the stock diverter valve is a rubber diaphram and not very strong.

I seem to be averaging about 300-350 miles a week on the 87. It has been getting better mileage than I expected (~17 MPG or so), and I really like driving it. I just fit well.
I don't think I have put 100 miles on the Blazer since Memorial day weekend, when I got it. By the time I get to, it will be completely rebuilt, it seems.

I did 25,000 miles in the last years worth of total driving, that was with a 70mile round trip just for work.

About 200 miles a week here, two trips to Louisville a week and trips with the kids and dogs to the river. It's also a full fledged work truck.

I put roughly 28,000 miles on my 2000 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab every year. I drive a little over 40 miles one way to work every day, plus weekends and road trips, etc. Since I bought my '76 GMC back in November, that may have dropped a little because I drive it when I can. It had approximately 136,000 miles on it when I got it, and I just rolled it over 140,000 this weekend.
Couldn't believe it either...I checked the gas mileage on a 160 mile round trip this weekend going fishing in the '76 and got almost 15 MPG. That's running at around 60-65 mph the whole trip with the very tired original 350/th350/4bbl Q-jet. My Nissan only gets 16.5-17 mpg. Mike |

With gas prices...as little as possible. I was DDing the 88 454 Burb but swapped with the wife and started driving the Accord. Wife is a stay at home mom so a tank lasts her a month. I hate the accord but it saves at least $250 a month in fuel. That's more then enough to pay the insurance and maintance and then some to have the accord. That said I bought a 86 4Runner that will get about 22mpg because it's easier for me to get in and out of. It will replace the 75 as a trail truck and do DD duties. Wife will drive accord and burb will site except for pulling traillers. I bought the Burb 1.5 years ago. Stoppd dding it about 8 months ago. It's been to Florida 3 times in that time and we put 12k on it. It just rolled 84k...thats original miles.
The accord just rolled 212k LOL .It got 15K put on it and didn't go to Florida three times.

I havent driven the '78 in about 3 yrs. I hope to change all that this weekend. I'm not sure how much I will drive it though b/c it dosent have a/c and this humidity here sucks.
I bought the S-10 new in '00 with 92 miles on it. It now has roughly 95,700! For about 2 yrs (after the '78 broke) I drove it 60 miles one way to work. Now it gets 64 miles both ways about 3 days one week and 4 the next. There are a quite a few trips to ATL in there, about 3 to gatlinburg, one to tampa, about 15 to myrtle beach.... I stay on the road. Some of you guys must not drive hardly anywhere. Of course I live like 30 miles from anywhere important, so it racks up fast. My wifes '03 grand am we got new last year already has 17k on it and we use the S-10 mostly for the long trips. `

Currently, 200 miles a month. Upon moving to NM this weekend, probably 50-100 a month. Will use the 68 AMC for trips back home (200 miles 1 way).
