MAN! Weatherstripping is EXPENSIVE!!

For all new weathestripping for my truck, it's gonna be like $500! That's for all the seals for the glass, and all new vent window assemblies. New Vent Window assemblies are $170 EACH! Makes me wanna get 1-piece glass REAL bad.

$500 is no big deal--at least you can get the parts. IF (big if) someone finally produces a one piece window for our trucks it will come with a premium price and, after that, there is no guarantee that you will be able to get replacement seals or glass.

I don't think $500 is expensive for all-new weather stripping by any means.

I NEVER buy parts for the name brand. In fact, where someone would spend $500+ for a "Borla/Flowmaster/Corsa" Exhaust system for their vette, I made mine for $300 (parts/labor) and I GURAN-DAMN-TEE it performs just as good if not BETTER than those $$$ systems.
I think the only thing I'm griping about is the damn vent windows are $170 a pop...I might try to get a used set in good shape and use them.

Why do you need new complete vent windows ? Junkyard are full of decent ones for about 15.00 ea and rubbers are 34.00-40.00 for the set ?

I bought this same set fits great: 239.99 with out chrome or add 20.00 for it.

I did what Bill is talking about. I put the vent window assemblies out of an 86 Blazer in my 73, and bought the JC Whitney weatherstrip kit. since I am cheap and it looks better, I used the black trim as well. BTW, the $239 kit has the vent glass rubber, but it is a PITA to install. That's why I went with new vent window assemblies.

Already replaced it all..ALLLL of it came to about $500. (Windshield, Rear Hatch, Roof Sides, Door outside/inside felts) Yeah, I think I'll try to find some decent vent windows to save $300.

Hell go price the weatherstripping for a 73-75 K5. The top alone would be $400 for the two header seals and the seal around the window. I don't thing that inculdes the block seal that ties it all together whetr the door fram, top and windsheild header meet. I thing thats another $50 a side for that peice. Add another $300 for the rail seals and rear window seals and then you can start thinking about the door seals and window felts. You can drop a easy $1k on a K5 if you do all the seals.
