What primer ?

Having my 1972 4door bead blasted tomorrow.What primer should I use?Is there any kind of preservative I should put on the metal? Thanbks for your help.

a good quality epoxy primer is what you need. use a bare metal prep solutution before you spray anything.

A good etching primer will save you the step of preping the metal...

Good luck.

I will be doing the same thing to my truck hear soon.

Now if I could just decide between kandy brandywine over a gold base or stark white with ghost flames....

Here's a good article by Martin SR, he's been in the auto paint busiess for years and flat knows his stuff.

There are 3 pages in the article.

His best advice is to stick to one brand of products for the entire painting process. Everything from metal prep cleaner to clear coat.
