tci shift kit
After talking to a few different tranny shops in town I have heard mixed reviews of adding one to my 700r. Does anyone have a shift kit installed in a 700? or have any suggestions for me?

I used a Transgo shift kit from Summit in my 92 Z28, and it worked very well. It also comes with very detailed instructions and a video, so installation was really easy. I also had the trans out, which made it even easier.

I don't specifically have a "shift kit" but I have a modified valve body and parts of a shift kit. Don't put a B&M shift kit on a 700R4 unless you do other work. If you put just a B&M in a stock tranny, it will kill it fast. I now won't have my tranny any other way - shift kit makes it sooo much better. Use the TCI or Transgo kit and you should be fine. Make sure you run an external cooler though!

I highly recommend a Transgo Performance Shift kit. They ain't cheap, but it comes with bunch of parts and even the video. I have one in my 700R4 and it's perfect.
