Edelbrock carb. on 454?
Has anyone else used an Edelbrock 750 CFM Performer carb. on a 454, and if so, what, if any tuning modifications on the carb. were required?
Does anyone happen to know if the factory installed tuning springs and stuff are correct for the 454 or do I need to buy that tuning kit with additional springs and stuff to set it up correctly? I can't seem to make sense of the instructions in the book that came with it. THANKS!!! |

I just built a 454 with .030 cast pistons and small chamber heads and used a 750 edelbrock. It was perfect for this application. If you go with a high duration cam, I would reccomend a holley 850.

I use a 600cfm on mine and its fine runs good i plan to step up to the 750 when i can but i didnt need to do anything special to tune it. where i started was i turned the two screws all the way in and turned each out three and went from there until it smoothed out as good as i could get it.
