pics of 69 grilles, please

I may be wrong, but I can't help thinking that the best -looking grilles out there are the 69s: lettering, chrome, inner grille, both curves and straight lines.

I'm picking up a used one in a couple of weeks. Anyone got pictures of different treatments of 69 Grilles?

Here's your different treatment....

I always wanted a 71-72 grille with a billet insert, but, all I had was a real nice 69-70 grille, so....chop chop!

People hate me.

I agree '69 is the best looking grille out there!!
But the second would have to be 71-72 w/ billet grille (or a nice '69 gone to waste) good looking job, can you see the cut marks up close??

From 6 inches, yes. From 12 inches no way.

Believe me, if I'm satisfied with it, it looks fine. I'm a picky freak.

Grill

Up until I actually got my 70 I thought the 71's were the best and really didn't want a 69/70 but that's what I ended up with and I love it. It totally seduced me :p I think they all [67-72] look great when compared to today's truck grills.
Not a great grill shot but good enough.

They should have stayed with the all metal moose pusher grills. The plastic all seem to break. I love the 68 chevy one! Here is a old white face.

My 69 actually came with the billet grille, but I got a 69 waiting for me in Aberdeen in a few weeks.

GEE Emm:

THAT'S what I'm talking about. Everything about that grill is cool. Got detail, depth, lettering, lights.

Anyone got pics of PAINTED 69s?

I like the 69-70 grilles as well. It's just difficult to find a nice one that isn't bent or scratched. I had to polish this one several times and repaint the black areas. The insert is new as well as the lenses.

Ignore hideous twanked front bumper. Tried to straighten it, thats one tough sumbit**
New '70 outer grille (same as '69?) direct from Sands Chevy in PHX, cheaper than all the catalogs by a bunch...... H.

Anybody got any ideas on what type of paint to use to repaint the black? Mine has a few dings in it but I can't afford $300 for a new one. So it's acetone and paint.
