4" or 6" with 3.73 gears?
I'm building a 355 with 350 hp. I dont know if my hp+3.73+350turbo auto will push 35" tires. I don't know if I should build a stronger tranny also, or say screw the 6" w/ 35" tires and stay with 4" 33's. Daily driver and towing camping trailer on weekends for some fishing and hunting gigs.

The 3.73's will do a lot better with the 33's. You'd need 4.10's for the 35's to be in the right rpm range.

I have 3.73 with 35's and it works but 4.10 would be nicer.

I am still running 3:73's with 38's. My motor is only slightly modified as well. It is a little pokey but I can still get up to 75-80 mph no problem.

for towing, stay with the 33s, 3.73s will be ok, but 4.10s would be better for towing.

The 3.73's will work for now but plan to gear down to the 4.10's, and that would be a good time to stick in a locker or posi that you may have always wanted

Lift and big tires is BAD for towing. Not saying it can't be done but it isn'e exactly the safeset thing and drop tow bars increase the leverage on the hitch and can cause issues even if your tounge weight is in line with recomendations.
If you plan to tow I would go 2 inches of lift and 33's max. You can clear 35's with 4 inches of lift and move the axle forwad one inch by re drilling the spring purch of going with a 2.5 inch spring and ODZ zero rate offsett blocks.

I ran 4" lift and 35's with 3:73. No problem with the power, but my biggest issue was the increase in my stopping distance. If you plan on doing any regular towing go 33's
