Parting out 69 GMC 3/4 Ton Camper Special - Grill, Etc

Per subject line

Have available the front grill assembly including the main grill, headlight trim, front marker lights, and headlight "holders." Don't have the trim for the front edge of the fenders. The grill has some pitting on the chrome and some surface rust where chrome peeled away, but otherwise it is DANG straight except for a very few minor dings that will work right out. Sand blast and rechrome or paint and your in business.

Also have the rear "camper" wire harness for the camper special. It is largely complete and uncut except for the end of the harness where things get tied into it. It plugs into the tail light harness under the hood and connects to the positive power terminal near the battery and runs power etc to the bed area of the truck for camper "stuff".

Also have the rear axel. I BELIEVE is a dana axel, but will confirm for the curious buyer.

Heck the whole truck "shell" is available and still rolling for dang cheap...come haul it away!!!

Let me know how I can help

I'm in Wisconsin

Thanks
Brian

Hey, I'd be interested in the power brake booster. Got some questions though. For starters, do you know if it works, and how well it works. Also, I had power brakes on mine at one time...well someone did anyway. Will you provide me with everything I need to have power brakes again? Would you also be willing to write me out some decent directions to install, or at least give it your best shot? I'm brand new to the board, and I'm an old dodge fan, but have made the crossover to chevy. Had an 89 blazer and a 97 ram that I ran into the ground by jacking them up etc, so I'm excited to learn about the older stuff and to learn from you guys here on the board. Thanks!

Well it appears to be working. I bought the truck for parts and just drove it off the trailer and into the garage. Unfortunately the truck had a bad wheel cylinder so the brake pedal would drop to the floor when pressed, but my best estimation is that the power assist was there and working. I would keep it for my truck but I bought a similar looking unit cleaned it up and already installed.

I will give you everything you need....brackets, booster, master cylinder, proportioning valve, push rod, etc. Do you have drum brakes? If so the master cylinder should be correct. its not too hard to install 'cept for that dang bolt that connects the push rod to the brake pedal. .... its hard to get at.

I'll take the front bumper off if you want it, but as is partially visible in one of the pictures it was slightly pushed in on the passenger side. $25 + ride and its yours. I don't think it is creased or kinked so you could pull it back out with the right tools and techniques. Let me know and I'll take some pictures of it if you want.

Here is the one picture I do have that partially shows it...

Doors are not that hot. Probably could be fixed up but I really haven't looked too close at them. I'm ~2.5 hours from Chicago.

If your real interested I'll take pics and inspect them again

The wire harness UY1. Ran into the bed to plug into campers to provide running lights tail lights, reverse lights, brake lights because the campers these trucks carried blocked the bed lights because of the overhang. The battery power lead was for inside lights and fans in the camper. Back then we used a round 6 pole connector which plugged directly into most campers and camper shells. It didn't have Brake controller wire like the newer 7 pole style because they didn't need them.

My doors need some lower skin work so if these aren't that hot, I'll keep mine. If they are real solid with no holes, post the pictures.

I'll PM you my work address...send me an email there and I'll let you know where I stand if you want to hook up.
