Angry New track times

Well I took the truck to the track yesterday and here are my times, not very impressed with myself. The truck was running great but I managed to screw it up by driving like crap I missed a shift and bad shifts, oh well. I was going to yank this motor and put it in the blazer but I think I'll just put 150 shot of NOS and call it good.

1st run street tires
r/t .149
60' 2.293
330 6.441
1/8 9.883
1000 12.887
1/4 15.427
mph 89.26

2nd run w/slicks
r/t .408
60' 2.307
330 6.42
1/8 9.8
1000 12.86
1/4 15.347
mph 89.90

I got to the track late so I only ran twice before the actual races started. I could have gone a little faster I think but was trying to stay consistant with 15.3-15.4 so I wouldnt get eliminated. I think I got 6th overall

And since I am a total Pic whore I included a pic. ha ha

Not bad.....with more runs you may have broke into the 14's. My first run last week was a 13.9, then a 13.3, then a 12.8, then a 12.51 twice. I guess the tires were getting better traction after a few runs and I was not as anxious. A 150 shot should take you deep into the 14's and most likely high 13's. Keep us posted cuz we love racing these bricks

Your 60' time should have dropped with slicks. With 15 second times you shouldn't be spinning a set of slicks. They should definitely hook and drop that time.

Interesting...the weather at Bandimere yesterday actually wasn't that bad...something's gotta be up with that mph. But then again, look at your 60'...with SLICKS, you shoulda been able to get a 1.9x easy

I would have thought that too but after looking at the slips for the trucks I raced some pulled 13's and were still in the low 2 60' times.

I really didnt launch it hard at all but I could have spun them all the way through first. I started going sideways 1/2 way through first launching at around 2k rpm.
