To add to Jamie's most 71's will bolt and all 72's will stick.
I have a 71 with original bolt on mirror, and nearly all 71's I have seen have the bolt on.

Have to agree with the bolt-on for '71 cabs. My '71 4x4 has a "raised" mounting pad stamped into the inside cab roof line. I have a couple of the "glue-on" windshield style, not sure if they are the correct mirror for a '72 application. The 67-70 style mounted to a arm mounted to a flat roof line if I am correct. Some one else may have more info.
