Dome light

I Was looking around my truck (Still finding new stuff), and foundout that it used to have a dome light. My question is, did they come stock on 69 pickups?

Dome lights were stock. You are talking about the one inside the cab above the rear window?

They are stock. Should come on when you turn the headlight switch all the way counter-clockwise if I remember right.
A popular mod is to install the door switches and wire it up so it turns on with the door opening like newer cars.

Alot of Trucks Came with that option After 68 there was a pad on the front of the cab between the door hinges you can drill tap and install a door light switch off any 69-87 3/8 16 is what thread it is drill a 5/16 hole tap it out fish a wire into that hole to under the dash hook it to the dome light ground wire. When tightening The switch push down on the plunger so the wire doesnt get twisted up.

Mine has the dome light door switch option on the glovebox sticker. At first neither switch worked, so I sprayed some WD40 in 'em and worked 'em back and forth with my thumb and they started working.
