Arrow Engine identification

Is there such thing as a Chevy 305 with the Vortec badging? Or was the 350 that only had the Vortec intake badging? My engine has the "Vortec" stamped on the intake, but I'm wondering if it's truely a 350 or not. Any thoughts?

The V6, V8 305 and 350 all became Vortec engines after '96.

Thank you for the replies.

Next question....

What is the easiest way to positively identify it as being a 305 or a 350? It's definitely a V8. The engine is not original in the truck (truck originally had a V6 before I bought it). I've heard that there are codes stamped on the block that could be decoded to indicate a 350 or a 305. However, it's very tough to get to those codes, so I'm looking for something more obvious (different intake, taller/shorter valve covers, etc.)!!

Thanks..
Mark
