I don't have a pic, but yes they had a GMC emblem in the same place as the Chevrolet emblem (lower right of right side barn door). I believe the GMC emblem used the same mounting holes, and as such is much bigger in appearance than the Chevrolet one. Also, I believe the GMC emblem is the same whether it has a tailgate or barn doors.

grebus1,
Do you know if the any of the vans used the same one. I know I heard that on the chevy's a few of the vans used the same one, and others were different by one bolt hole. (Just thought I would ask for you GMCjunkie, may help finding one.)

My experience with the van emblems has been that they are different for Chevy vans vs. Chevy Suburbans (in appearance and in mounting). I would think for that reason, the GMCs would also be different. The emblem on my Burb is held together with JB Weld in one spot, so I've always kept my eyes open. The only nice one I found was from Golden State, but for some reason the mounting pins did not line up. I sent it back as it was about $60!

Their unto themselves,.. never seen anything else close to it. I found a G once on one sub door.
Mounts with 3 studs and it has a bar that runs the lenght of it as in the pic.

The GMC letters on my next door neighbors '71 GMC 4x4 suburban are all seperate letters with a bunch of "L" head screws mounting them to the lower right rear corner on the passenger door. They're about 3.5 - 4 inches tall (each letter). It's been in there family since new, and I did see one other GMC suburban here in town with the same letters. Did GMC for the '67-72 'burbs have 2 different type of emblems? Sorry about hijacking the post.

Thanks for the info and pic, I was just curious about that. Not sure if Im gonna try to put an emblem on my barn doors or not. The barn doors I have have the holes for the "CHEVROLET" emblem, the clam shell doors on my burb never had an emblem.
Thanks again. junk
