Late model 10 bolt rear... not quite 3" axle tubes

I was planning to mount a nicely built 10 bolt from my 86 IROC into my truck. Ive got the axle saddles and super track bar kit from ECC to help mount it. Turns out the axle tubes arent quite 3" though. More like 2 3/4+". So the rear seems to mount fine but the saddles dont completely caress the axle tubes like it does on the old rear end. Anyone forsee problems with mounting this rear? Seems like it will bolt up fine and will jsut need a little extra time with the welding.

An FYI for others. I talked with some one at ECC and they said many people use their saddles for 2.5" axles. All That is needed is welding in some steel to make up the difference. I picked up a nice 1/8 piece that Ill weld in and make it a 2.75 saddle.

Ive been quite impressed with ECC. Very nice folks, helpfull and great parts... not the cheapest around but they have stuff others dont!
