fan clutch diagnostic hlp pls

Anyone have simple(ton) way to determine if fan clutch is working properly?

Vehicle is 97 GMC Sierra

Watch the fan while the truck is running. Kill the ignition. If the fan keeps moving for more than a moment after the engine is killed , it is bad. Also if you can spin the fan with the engine off and it moves more than a little bit.
