Gas Tank Filler Hose

OK, so where does one buy a 1 3/8" diameter filler hose for the gas tank? Every hose place I call has never heard of that size.

You might try a marine supply house. Also I think Wes stocks it.

I read a post awhile back some of the guys bought hose from a place that makes hydraulic hose, its supposed to be the same type of hose. Any heavy equipment dealer should sell the hose.

Thanks for the replies, and thanks for the hose offer Jose!

When I topped off my gas tank, I could always smell gas in the garage. I crawled under the truck and noticed a slight leak from the top of the tank, but couldn't tell where it originated. So I pulled the tank yesterday, and found the filler vent hose (the 1/2 " one) had a crack in it. I replaced all the small hoses, but couldn't find a filler hose locally. I closely inspected the old one and it has no cracks and is still flexible, so I siliconed it up to look like new and re-installed it.

It looks like this hose will do until I pull the body off the frame and restore everything, which probably won't happen for a while. Again thanks for the replies.

I finally found the hose at a local rubber hose company - none of the auto parts stores had the correct size and the one sold by the reproduction companies was way too large in diameter.

There is a place near me called THE BRIGGS COMPANY,3 Bellecor Dr. New Castle, Delaware. (302)328-9471 . Try them they should be able to hook you up with what you need. I bought a fuel oil hose from them and it was the correct size. Give them a try.
