Bed Floor Pt. 2
Can you unbolt the metal floor in a 69 Longbed pickup? Will there be any structural instabilties with the bed sides and the bed ends only being in place? Any and all comments are welcome!

Yes you can unbolt it, the rest of the bed should stay fairly stable.

Not sure why you are going with this unbolting the floor out. The rear cross sill under tailgate area on a metal floor box is the complete floor and has small tack welds in the rear corners to the box sides. So basically there is no taking the metal floor out and leaving the box sides in place. Once you have unbolted the floor from the sides and have the tack welds cut you simply unbolt the t he handfull of bolts to the front bed panel and you have 4 major pieces. floor with wheelhouses , left and right bedsides, and one front bed panel.
A wood floor can be disassembled leaving all 4 sides in place as the rear cross sill channel is bolted and tack welded to the sides. Mark
