Took my truck out for a ride today with the added timing
All I have to say is...WOOOOOOO!!!! The thing pulls NOTICEABLY harder! For some odd reason, now the idle speed screw (the one that adjusts the throttle plate) actually REALLY affects idle speed. I turned it like a HALF turn and it adjusted the idle down to 700rpm in drive. WORKS FOR ME!! I'll report back on the gas mileage.
Thought I'd post about this, since it's the first time I've driven the truck in about a month. |

Hahah, hey Colin, didn't know you were a member HERE too. I WAS running only about 28º total, but I upped it to 36º.

36 - 28 = 8 but who's counting?
36 degrees, thats it? bump it up a little higher Its no fun until you bump it up to where you cant adjust the idle w/ the idle speed screw... THEN youre makin power. pc |

LMAO... man, now you know why I changed from a Biology major (too much math) to English..
I typically adjust my timing until I hear ping then back off 2-3 degrees with my timing light..
