Has anyone ever painted plastic interior pieces before? (Dash, door panels, etc.) I recently bought a console and it is light grey and the rest of my interior is charcoal. I want to try to make it all match.

Yeah he's right just use the vinyl dye spray.They sell it at most auto parts stores. I did my complete interior from tan to black and it looks great.

Will normal interior cleaners be able to be used or do you use something else?

First thing is you need to remove all the pieces from the truck. They can be dyed while in place but you will get better results with the removed.

You should use lacquer thinner to strip all the old dye off. Once it's completely off use ammonia and water to clean any oil that is left. They usually sell a vinyl prep to go with it. I recommend spraying the vinyl prep first, then spray the dye on.

Thanks that is very helpful. I was also wondering if you can use vinyl protection applications such as armor all after the panels are finished?
